Folklore ballet – performance of the national ballet Amalia Hernandez – ritual dances and colonial ritual songs and dances from different regions of the United Mexican States, songs and paintings from the time of the Revolution. Folklore ballet has played a huge role in the dissemination and promotion of Mexican folklore abroad. The ballet was created in the early 1960s. This group combines skillfully stylized forms of folk dance with authentic folk music. The hall is designed for 1900 spectators. The glass bead curtain was made by Tiffany in New York. The amazing choreography and skill of the performers provide an opportunity to get an idea of the diversity of Mexican folk dance.
